The Nomad Residence Permit programme is designed for people who work remotely and whowould like to reside and work from Malta. This programme is open to third country nationals, who would generally require a visa to travel to Malta, and who are currently employed in another country.
A Nomad Residence Permit will be issued for a period of one year, subject to renewal, as long as the eligibility criteria is continuously met. It is also possible to issue a national visa for a period of 91 to180 days, depending on the applicant’s intention of duration of stay. Family members are also eligible to apply. The application process is expected to take up to 30 days after the submission of the required documentation.
